White Bean Soup with Sage


1 large onion, diced
5 cloves garlic, minced
2 Tbsp. cooking liquid (water, broth, etc.)
2 (15-oz.) cans no-salt-added great northern white beans
2 cups low sodium vegetable broth
1 Tbsp. dried sage
Black pepper

Saute onion and garlic in saucepan with cooking liquid.

Stir in beans with their liquid.

Add broth and sage.

Heat to boiling and then simmer for 15 minutes.

Add pepper to taste.
